Our starting point is a thought, a theme, an object or the desire to collaborate with an artist. We experiment with and investigate these raw and unformed initial materials using improvisation. Our work is process oriented, the road we take is often long and sometimes labyrinthine. After this period of research we select the material, refine it, bring it into dramaturgical order and choreograph it to form a whole. Due to our process oriented working method we see opening nights only as temporary goals. As a rule we continue working on a production after its first run of performances.

Our primary means are theatre and dance. Guests from other disciplines broaden our spectrum and are very welcome. We work as a collective and our productions develop on the broad basis of all the artists involved in the process.

»There is a mechanical puzzle that consists of three small metal tubes of different diameters sealed in a glass-covered box. The problem is to get the smaller tubes inside the larger. Now one can try to do it methodically; then it usually takes quite a long time. But it can also be done another way. One can just shake the box at random until the tubes are inside one another. Does that happen by chance?
It looks that way, but I don't think so. For an idea lurks behind this method. Namely, that movement alone can succeed where deliberation fails.«

Arnold Schönberg, Theory of Harmony (Translation by Roy.E.Carter)
