Four separate plates on thin metal sticks are placed in the space. They appear fragile, remind you of flowers and also serve as tables. Four performers who seem to have jumped right out of Breughel's Painting "Cockaigne". A sensuous play with food, tastes, smells and sounds takes its course. Foodstuff and the question what kind of stuff we actually need for our life. Smell and the question, "what is the smell of hunger?"
Frozen food and the impossibility to eat edibles in this frozen state. To be defeated by the set of rules laid down in the book on etiquette. What is allowed and what is considered bad manners? What may be right in our culture may be quite out of place somewhere else: knife, fork, chopsticks, fingers, burping, slurping, spitting. Our world is bigger than our brain. In this show the ritual of taking in food turns into choreography. A humorous light is thrown onto the way we eat and what we eat and thus gives food for thought. We are hoping for the kind of curiosity that is like hunger: it is always possible to feel it!
